Promotional illustrations for four of Zach Gage's games on Apple Arcade: Really Bad Chess, Good Sudoku, Spelltower, and Flipflop Solitaire. Zach's games are brilliant in their simplicity; he takes simple game mechanics, polishes, and expands them into things of beauty. The challenge I gave myself with these illustrations was to express this brilliance while limiting myself to the games own objects and abstractions, and keeping them interesting through dynamic composition rather than introducing any external imagery.
